“I’m the most anti-social media blogger out there,” 

 You wouldn’t expect to hear this out of the mouth of a girl behind one of the most popular fashion blogs on tumblr, but it’s true.  Rachel, a New York based writer and designer, doesn’t tweet, facebook, or pin anything - but she does blog, and is pretty damn good at that.

DarkLamb was one of the first blogs to be featured in the Tumblr fashion directory, and the name was bestowed upon her by a friend - a conglomeration of translations of Rachel’s own names; Rachel to little lamb, and Nina to the ancient, dark and powerful Babylonian goddess.  It’s an apt name, illustrating the dichotomy of Rachel’s own personality - adorably sweet yet wildly unrestrained in her frank and dead-on opinions, which shines through on her blog.  She also has a no-frills approach to fashion:

“You can get seduced by fashion on different levels. For me it is on an art level. I don’t get swept up in the ‘consuming’.”
